Gift a Map

A gift they will return to.

For the engaged couple who has everything. For the friends who just got serious. For your parents’ fortieth anniversary. Most gifts are about the occasion; this one is about the two of them. The Relational Map is a human-led couples reading. A gift code lets you offer it without entering anything about the couple; each person decides privately whether to take part and whether to allow a shared review.

How a gift works

  1. 1

    You choose it

The Map, or the Map with a 45-minute Director conversation. Add a note if you like. We send you the card by email within two business days, with a code to share with the Director when the couple asks about beginning.

  2. 2

    They receive a card

Forward it, print it or hand it over in person. There is no date they must plan around.

  3. 3

    They choose whether to proceed

Each partner is contacted privately and reflects separately if they both choose to begin. The scope and any fee beyond the gift are confirmed with them before work starts. A shared Map is prepared only after both allow a combined review and approve the exact final version. You receive a note that the gift was redeemed, and nothing else.

Nothing about the couple is entered by you, and nothing about their Map is shown to you. A gift can be a surprise; the Map cannot, because each partner consents for themselves.

For the wedding

The gift that outlasts the registry.

Plates get replaced. A conversation about what two people are actually promising each other does not.

Given before the wedding, it is a conversation to have before the logistics take over. It fits on a registry alongside the things that will wear out.

A few good questions

Can I give it to a couple I work with?

Yes, but the Map for teams is a different thing. For colleagues, see For teams.

Can I give a Terroir Trails day instead?

Yes. A self-guided day in wine country can be gifted through Terroir Trails.
