Your participation is your choice

You can skip questions or decline a reflection altogether. Private answers are excluded from the shared Map unless you choose otherwise, and even then only as unattributed themes. Before any question, we ask whether you feel free to take part and whether anyone could see your answers; if not, you can continue privately, and no one is told.

How a Map is prepared

A Relational Map is not a psychological assessment, personality type, compatibility score or diagnosis. It offers tentative themes grounded only in the contributions each person permitted, for you to consider together. With the permission of everyone taking part, an AI service helps a Director read and draft from the Reflections you submit, with names and contact details removed first and under an agreement that your words are never used to train AI models. Permission is a separate choice, presented with your Reflection and off by default. If anyone leaves it unticked, no AI service reads anything your group wrote. Either way a Director checks every sentence against what was actually written and signs it, you read what concerns you before anyone else does, and your corrections stand.

A shared Map needs its own choice

Each participant chooses whether unattributed themes from their reflection may appear in the shared Map. Even without names, a theme can be recognizable in a small group, and other participants can save a Map they receive. Choose with that in mind.

Teams and employers

Private reflections are never a tool for employee surveillance or performance assessment. The person who paid sees the Map, never the reflections. Group-facing documents contain only what was said aloud in the room and agreed to be recorded. An employer or organizer cannot consent on anyone's behalf, and nothing in a Map may be used in hiring, promotion, compensation, discipline or performance ranking.

Gifts

A gift-giver receives a note that the gift was redeemed, and nothing else. Nothing about the couple is entered by the giver.

Withdrawal has limits

Withdrawing a reflection or a permission stops it being used in anything not yet written, and we will rewrite or withdraw a Map that already carries it. It cannot recall a copy someone has already saved, or control what anyone does outside this service.

Retention

Ninety days after your Map is delivered, we delete what you wrote and our working notes on it. A week before, we write to tell you, and you may ask us to keep it instead. You may ask us to delete it sooner at any time. Until then your Reflection stays available to you, with your own page and the shared Map.
